We're Frankensteining old toys into new creations. It's revolutionary to give broken things new life, especially when we do it together. We're rethinking the value of all the stuff we throw "away" into landfills and oceans—while having fun!

A giant octopus wood sculpture located in Bandon, Oregon.
It was carved from a single piece of reclaimed redwood by artist Jeffrey Michael Samudosky.
The sculpture is situated near Weber's Pier along the town's boardwalk. the artist utilized a chainsaw to create the intricate details and texture of the octopus. In the background is the Fisheries Warehouse. Blue sky and white clouds overhead.

The image presents a high-contrast composition centred on shards of a shattered mirror resting upon a weathered, dark reddish-brown brick pavement. The primary focus is the largest fragment, an irregular polygon with jagged, sharp edges, occupying the lower-right quadrant. This shard, along with several smaller triangular pieces scattered to the left, acts as a window into an entirely different environment. The mirror’s reflective surface is remarkably clear, capturing a vibrant blue sky interlaced with a dense, intricate network of bare, dark tree branches. This reflection creates a sharp juxtaposition: the cold, clinical blue and sharp lines of the tree canopy against the warm, earthy, and blurred texture of the ground. The ground itself is composed of small, rectangular paving stones with deep, dark crevices between them. The bricks exhibit a slightly damp patina due to its dockside location. The depth of field is noticeably shallow; while the large mirror fragment and its reflection are in relatively sharp focus, the background and foreground pavement quickly dissolve into a soft, textured bokeh. This effect draws the viewer’s eye to the reflected image, which appears almost like a fallen piece of the sky.The lighting is dramatic, with a natural, diffused quality of late afternoon. The cool tones within the reflection—ranging from pale azure to deep cobalt—contrast intensely with the russet and ochre tones of the bricks. Tiny slivers of glass and minute debris are visible near the main shards, adding a sense of recent, violent impact. The overall mood is one of quiet fragmentation and misplaced beauty, where something broken serves to highlight a perspective that would otherwise be out of sight. The sharp angles of the glass shards point in various directions, leading the eye across the frame and emphasising the chaotic nature of the break. No humans or structures are visible, leaving the scene to feel solitary and reflective.

Enjoyed experimenting with this littered broken mirror - one man's trash is another man's treasure!

Early book cover concept for my WIP survival thriller… thoughts? 🤎

This photo shows a long, narrow, arched underground tunnel with rough, textured earthen or stone walls in shades of beige and brown. A smooth, concrete path runs straight down the center, leading into the distance. Overhead, a series of bright white lights hang from the ceiling, illuminating the passage and creating a receding perspective. On the left wall, near the foreground, there's a tall, dark wooden door with metal fittings. The tunnel fades into the distance, giving a strong sense of depth.

This is a digital painting that I made from a few of my pictures. The background is a picture from one of Castle in the Clouds bedrooms. I put a duck in the dress. Added a silhouette duck portrait to the wall.
