Just saw a man lose control of his bicycle going downhill-crashed and landed on his head-unconscious and so much blood leaking from his head. Ambulance took him away. Be safe and please wear a helmet. I’m praying for this stranger. 🙏🏽.

My Bike. I spend a lot of time on my bike (aprx 4000 miles/yr), so I thought I'd show you this in all its glory. Flower motif notwithstanding, my bike is a Co-op ADV 2.2 20-speed from REI with a white frame. Shown here leaning against a fence on the i275 metro trail. You might note the broom for whisking away the broken glass I come across on the trail. Sometimes I fly on this machine at a breakneck speed of 18 MPH. In a witchy way, the broom stabilizes my flight. Note the padded seat. At my age, I shouldn't have to be uncomfortable. PS I wear a helmet. I survived a pretty bad crash a while back and cracked my helmet. The helmet prevented my brain from oozing onto the street. So thank you Jesus! Biking is a great escape, an hour out, then an hour back. A Zen loop. Truly, living the dream.

Until you've met somone who has suffered a head injury doing the silliest thing, like sledding, or showing off in the driveway with a skateboard, or playing hockey on a backyard rink, this seems like a two-sides thing, but its not. Just like wearing a seatbelt in a car is not. #WearAHelmet
