Huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who braved 45mph winds, hail, sleet and even the occasional burst of sunshine to plant 400 native trees at the Aline Community Woodland on the #IsleofLewis! 🌧️

The newly planted trees came from a #WoodlandTrust free tree pack 👉️ buff.ly/l0eA4pM 🌳💚🌳

Amazing talk from Megan Gimber (PTES) about hedgerow management last Friday! Hosted by Nic and Reno at Renison's farm, we got to see their fab hedges and Lee Bassett hedge laying in 'midland bullock' style.

Nile Rodgers: Chic Star praises 'inspiring' Derry tree planters The music legend helped plant 30 new trees at Faughan Valley on the outskirts of Derry earlier this month.

I think the Woodland Trust unwisely left their signs where the Hungry Deer could reach them…

A sign is on the ground and partly covered by earth and grass. It has a green background, a picture of a young deer, and white text. The readable text says
"they're here to protect the new extension to Hainault Forest from hungry deer*.
Be careful to protect our 24,000 tiny trees

Spent a good many hours this break on my favourite hobby of removing used tree guards from my local woods. Found several with piles of seeds eaten by rodents inside and one with a dead squirrel trapped inside. Further study needed. #woodlandtrust

Drones drop tree seeds to help protect Talla Reservoir More than two million seeds are being sown to help protect water quality at the Talla Reservoir.

Great to see @scottishwater.bsky.social trialling tree seeding by drone in difficult to access areas at #Talla. We've used a similar strategy to at #LochArkaig and at a #WoodlandTrust site in the hills around Bodmin too. Look forward to seeing the results 👉
