I had a similar thing at #WorldCon2024, where some of the most interesting talks turned out to be for 8-12. One talk where you build a cardboard city and a second where you are Godzilla smashing it down? Yes please!

My dealers' room haul: 7 books, a print of Iain Clark's 'Shipbuilding Over the Clyde), some stickers, an award for not indulging in censorship, a little scrunchie thing and a bunch of ribbons on my badge
I managed to get to the dealers' room and art show before being struck with the Plague and got a respectable con haul. Looking on the bright side, it may be for the best that my bag space was limited and I wasn't able to go back on subsequent days...

#Glasgow2024 #WorldCon2024 was amazing! My first con, I was encouraged to go by a friend with whom I enjoyed lots of time, and I made new friends as well! I survived 5 days of late nights thanks to my scooter and community reminders to hydrate. I'm now at home and resting. Thanks for the memories!

Erm. I didn't realise I was about to get Worldcon famous yesterday. I didn't know who I'd been sharing Science Brain with re: COVID and ME/CFS on the #Worldcon2024 Discord server because I was using a fan ID on the disability and sickness reporting channels.

* Attending an @octothorpecast@wandering.shop live podcast recording (albeit virtually)!! That was chaotic and a lot of fun
* finding out how awesome the Scottish space sector is (hint: a lot)
* sobbing along with Esther at the closing ceremony
