A Tasting of Italian Wines in Vancouver Fall 2025 The Italian Trade Commission had their 19th Annual Italian Wine Tasting in Vancouver.  There was the opportunity to meet the principals of 40 distinguished Italian wine estates.  I tasted mainly white and sparkling wines at this tasting and at the very end tried a few Italian red wines.  What I like about Italian wines is that many of the grapes are indigenous to Italy, so you would not see many of these grapes grown in large quantities in other countries.

The main entrance of the Palazzo Mostre e Congressi G. Morra, where visitors can sample Piedmont wines across multiple floors. Along the pathway leading to the entrance, attendees are seen walking, while others are seated on the grass to the left. The Cortile della Maddalena is a historic courtyard in the center of Alba (Piedmont). In the courtyard, stands are set up, each offering a wide selection of wines centered around a specific grape variety or a range of different grape varieties for visitors to taste. The stands on the north side can be seen with clusters of visitors sipping their chosen wines.
