The Cortile della Maddalena is a historic courtyard in the center of Alba (Piedmont). In the courtyard, stands are set up, each offering a wide selection of wines centered around a specific grape variety or a range of different grape varieties for visitors to taste. The stands on the north side can be seen with clusters of visitors sipping their chosen wines.

'09 San Fereolo Dogliani - this old vine, bio-d dolcetto gets lots of love in natty circles, but its always missed my palate. Nicely rustic, but bretty & weighed down by its long elevage. I see the attraction, but not for me.
