This is kind of a strange image that captures a scenic sunset over a suburban neighbourhood, specifically showing a view of Mount Boucherie (West Kelowna). The sky features dramatic, colourful clouds illuminated by the setting sun while the neighbourhood below is beginning to get dark as twilight approaches.
The sky which takes up 3/4s of the scene is stunning, as if it were a painting. With the backdrop of a powder blue sky, there are all kind of clouds of all shapes and sizes filling it - billowing, streaks, dots, puffy, some following the leader in a horizontal line, big, small, in shades of whites, grey, yellows & gold. The mass of land below is extremely dark, but you can see that there are many buildings built across the hillside they are on. A hint of pine tree silhouettes line the top of the hills - which were actually formed once upon a time from an ancient volcano.
