A fresh male Garden Bumblebee clings to the flower head of purple wallflower, with his long tongue extended ready to feed. He is a fairly large and slightly untidy bumblebee, about 1.5cm long. He's mainly black, but has a bright yellow collar, a broad yellow belt, and a white tail.
