Today's morning #coffeewatch was #osakaelegy. This 1930s Japanese film had a lot to say about gender roles and dynamics of the era and had a strong female lead! The interwoven dynamics of the relationships were fascinating to watch unfold. Beautiful!

Today's morning #coffeewatch was the earliest film adaptation of the Annie comic strip! This 1932 version was long before the musical adaptation we have come to know and love and it was so nice seeing a different side of Annie.

Today's morning #coffeewatch was #nightbeforechristmasamousetale and I am genuinely not sure why I watched this. The animation was rough, the story was weak, and overall it was not enjoyable...even for a kids cartoon. But hey, the mice were cute!
