The dominant subaqua sward of W tarn at #Cronkley comprises ?water starwort (Callitriche sp.), interspersed with ?Water Purslane (Lythrum portula), a few ?Lesser spearwort (Ranunculus flammula), plus ?Silverweed (Argentina anserina) suggesting water may recede. #WildflowerID 3/10

After climb over Cronkley Fell, was divine to skinny dip in the extraordinarily warm (20°C), silky water of the tarn at 450m. Could have stayed in indefinitely.
