A recurring idea in Chainsaw Man is you got to be at least a little bit selfish. Not so much that you become entirely numb to the pain of others, that's what the villains do. But in a world where so many bad things will happen, you need something to anchor you. Though you can choose poorly.

I now think Asa could take over her body from Yoru whenever she wants.
Yoru makes her feel powerful for once in her life. Yoru makes her respected and feared instead of mocked. Yoru lets her hurt others.
Asa wanted to live life more selfishly, and that's what Your does for them.
