Dog Chapel was opened in 2000 by artist Stephen Huneck, as a symbol of peace, love, and remembrance. It is set on the top of Dog Mountain and has become a place where people leave notes and photos of remembrance of their beloved pets who have passed on. The walls are overflowing with love. Dog Mountain has 150 acres of trails and dog ponds where people bring their pets to run, play and swim. There is a gallery of Huneck's art on the property. His sculptures and art are scattered throughout.
