I gave DPNs a try and it was a complete fail! 😅 I couldn’t figure out how to hold them correctly, even after watching videos. If anyone has tips or beginner friendly videos that helped you, I’d love the recommendations!

The Opal yarn I used for the cuff of these scrappy pirate socks has nice colors, but what pattern it has isn’t very visible.

For my latest pirate socks, I decided to use this Opal sock yarn (top) to its best advantage with helical knitting. The Zitron Trekking Pro Natura yarn (bottom) picks up the red on the Opal colorway nicely.

The result of helical knitting in this pair of scrappy pirate socks-in-progress is magnificent! The Opal yarn I used for the cuffs is spread apart by the red Trekking yarn for a dramatic look.
