A monochrome filter was used to focus on the tracery detail. View of the sky through a pair of crumbling arched windows with remnants of decorative tracery. Blue sky was overhead so look at the comments for the colour version. The walls have clear rectangular indentations where wooden beams would have been anchored back in the day. Well worth a visit!

Visited the ruins of #EgglestoneAbbey near #BarnardCastle earlier and had a stroll by the river Tees. Golden autumn weather again. Photos can’t begin to do the area justice. The foliage colours so beautiful this year. #CountyDurham

We had some beautiful light just after sunrise yesterday as Moira and I enjoyed a circular walk from Barnard Castle to Egglestone Abbey and back along the Tees.
