This morning at Gas Holder Number 4 of the former Temple Gasworks in the west of Glasgow. It was built in 1893 by Barrowfield Ironworks Ltd for the Glasgow Corporation Gas Department, which had purchases the ste in 1890.

The pretty Harry-Potteresque town of Lavenham is actually a treasure trove for industrial archaeology, particularly from the wool industry. Even its little gasholder (dated 1862) is neatly preserved in a public car park #industrialarchaeology #gasholder #gasometer
