An approximately day-long geophone trace at a quiet site. each line is 30 minutes of data, with the lowest line being the most recent. The trace shows three small earthquakes (the larger, spiky signals) and five trains passing by (the longer duration, low-amplitude signals).

A swarm of little earthquakes on the Gaspe shoreline this morning recorded about 190 km away. Magnitude 3.3, then 3.7, then a 2.4. The long lozenge-shaped signals are trains passing several kilometers away.
