Yesterday marked 125 years since the hanging of Mangi Meli and 18 others, making a total of 19. Some of their remains, e.g. Mangi Meli’s skull, were taken by German colonialists and have never been returned to this day. #PamojaRT #GJHeritageWalks

In the same context, today Amani Abeid, an artist who is part of “Histories of Tanzania” told me: “The museums should extend the capacities of spreading the knowledge about histories - not only in Tanzania but throughout the world. The new generation, they have their spaces.”
