An Unusual Find We worked really hard today, So was fired up to tackle the heap of dumped waste in the middle of Meanwhile 2. We also had two extra helpers - Jason from Rubbish Walks and Ro a new Guerrilla Gardener. This is a sample of what we faced, a complete jumble of plastic, brick, wood, weed supressing membrain and even christmas decorations.

Learning a new skill Looks like there was a pizza party on Meanwhile 1 this week, lots of boxes for us to deal with. But once we had dealt with the rubbish we continued with our buddliea pruning. We bundled the prunings we hadn't dealt with last week - and this is where we learned a new skill. I had been shown how to tie a parcel knot, which the more you pull it the tighter it pulls and then it does not slip open - perfect for bundles of clippings.

One of my favorite pages, from a garden I helped my friend plant last summer behind a local park. The location was so ideal, we planted these & just let nature do it's thing. By the Fall we were rewarded with a few good hauls of squash!
