𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A Eurasian Nuthatch perches on the narrow trunk of a tree, moving upside down, as is typical of these birds that seem to defy the laws of gravity. The bluish-gray tones of its back and the warm orange of its breast stand out, harmonizing with the intense yellow of the bark lichens and the soft golden hues of the background. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Trepador Azul en el estrecho tronco de un árbol, desplazándose bocabajo, como suele ser habitual en estas aves que parecen desafiar las leyes de la gravedad. A red-backed shrike perched in the treetops stretches slightly to get a good view. It is summer and the sky is bright blue. The branch on which the bird is sitting is bare, but around it there is some green foliage on neighbouring branches.

The nuthatch clings artistically to a vertical hazelnut branch in late autumn and looks over its right shoulder with interest. Like the red-backed shrike in the other photo, it has a dark eye stripe. Both birds thus wear a mask, somewhat reminiscent of the cliché of a classic film gangster.

Ein kleiner Singvogel mit gedrungenem Körper, kurzem Schwanz und langem Schnabel sitzt auf einem kahlen Ast, von links unten fotografiert; sein Gefieder ist oberseits graublau, unterseits kupferrot; er hat ein weißes Gesicht mit einem schwarzen Augenstreif

Klein, bunt, laut und - zum Glück - noch fast überall zu finden: der Kleiber. Der Name "Spechtmeise" trifft gut, wenn Größe und Mitteilungsbedürfnis beschrieben werden sollen.
