I highly recommend #Reset for addicting action. Dylan just came on my music player so I rec him #TheRationalLife since he's on my brain. #FireworksOfMyHeart with #YangYang is a good angsty second chance romance like The First Frost. #MeetYourself is great if you want cozy healing vibes.

lol - this was one of two “drama falling-outs” 😅 (we are now best drama buddies again!) I had with Robin (the other one was about #MeetYourself).

I can see Robin’s perspective, but I personally didn’t mind the mixture of character ambiguity & selfishness in the story, as it made it realistic

I heard it has a similar story line to Minglan. I want to watch it, again I don't like the FL. Come to think of it, I don't have a fav CDrama actress. Lots of KDrama ones though.I like Zhao Liying in Minglan,Zhou Yutong from #NothingButYou, Liu Yi Wei from #MeetYourself and Zhao Lusi

The comparisons are not unreasonable given that the similarities were strong enough for an awards committee to feel moved to defend its giving #MeetYourself an award in the face of plagiarism accusations. I only ask because the original post is about the Chinese drama #MeetYourself, which some people here are (mistakenly imo) comparing with the former

It isn’t a #cdrama you binge as the conversations & reflections require stop, pause to think, & then continue. Each character had their own growth & the way the stories were woven together in this safe haven they found was beautiful. #MeetYourself

It initially didn’t click with me as I think I’ve been conditioned to expect more fast pace even with slice of life drama. However, persistence kept me going & it reflects exactly what you shared about #MeetYourself.

I shared this elsewhere, but #MeetYourself is actually a quite beautiful drama - not only visually in terms of its scenery, but psychologically in terms of its sensitivity to human questions about meaning

I just want to say that whatever you feel about #HometownChaChaCha, the Chinese drama #MeetYourself has a *totally* different vibe, atmosphere, characterisation & purpose to it. It isn’t a romantic comedy, it is a drama about community in which a slow burn romance is a single element

While watching #MeetYourself I never once thought about #HometownCha-Cha-Cha

I should have paid more attention at MDL - on the #MeetYourself page, there's a link to the controversy around accusations it plagiarised Hometown Chunder Chunder. I dropped the #kDrama after 2,but the 40 ep #cDrama fooled me. I should have realised the ML was the same character. 🤦🏽‍♂️

It's probably the best summary of my unique perspective on #cDrama #MeetYourself that my favourite character BY FAR, and the one that I might even endure the ML just to see how her arc ends, is this one.

Yeahbut, I never attempt to persuade anyone to my POV. getting anyone to UNDERSTAND my POV is a Sisyphean task, converting them utterly impossible. Although the ML in #MeetYourself would no doubt find it a doddle 🤣
