This morning #biketoworkKC on the #minicargobike confirmed some slight fears. The freehub body is slipping under load. Guess that is coming apart for inspection & overhauling before the ride home. Worst case scenario I have another bicycle here to get home. #nocarlife
Been in the #minicargobike daily for the last week+. Noticed last night that the drive train is having some odd issues. Time for a new cassette & chain perhaps? Fairly sure whats on it has been on other bikes before.
Figure’n the Fri-Sat #fixedgear commute, 5 mile hike Sun, 1O+ miles on the #minicargobike Mon & then the 3+ mile RT walk for #MondayRitual is why my legs are feel’n a bit rough today. Well least I’m hoping that is all it is. #norestforthewicked

Dropped what I was working on and full on sprinted on the #minicargobike, the 5+ miles to home. Thankfully the tech hadn’t left yet.

Finally resolved the wiggly cranks spindle issue that I’ve had since converting the OG
AC Gorilla Monsoon to #minicargobike mode.
Solution? Correct BB of course. #rookiemistakes
As suspected the legs are feeling better today & even on the #minicargobike am feeling kinda zippy.
But I gotta remember #biketoworkKC is mostly downhill & the wind is at my back. Guess we’ll see later.
The #MondaysOff plan was to get out on the bike. After a slow start & a touch of frustration getting going it has happened. Good temps and a hair windy plus getting to the park later than intended means no #hammocksession today but the old view is nice. #KawPointParkKC

Over all the short little ride to run a couple #MondaysOff errands on a sunny 15° afternoon didn’t feel too bad.

So far so good. The heavy downpour eased up a bit as I was leaving. First ride of the fall/winter season in gloves. First ride on the #minicargobike with clip-in SPD pedal. Sip this #thankquad in the City Market then over the HOA bridge to NKC to open the shop.
