A digital collage made from three separate photographs taken at Culloden Battle field in Scotland. The image at the back is the large stone memorial cairn. A plaque at the bottom reads as follows in all capital letters: The Battle Of Culloden Was fought on this moor 16th April 1746. The graves of the Gallant Highlanders Who fought for Scotland & Prince Charlie Are marked by the names Of their clans. Segments of two other photos have been collaged on top of the cairn to form a tartan style grid. The first is a largely purple image of a dense growth of heather and the second is a predominantly yellow photo of the moor grasses. Horizontally, the strips alternate between eight thick purple bands and seven yellow thin ones with space left between where the grey stones of the cairn show through unfiltered. The same pattern repeats vertically, but the yellow is the thick band and the purple is thin. Both horizontally and vertically a thin section of the background image has been added as a line on top of the thick bands.

A tartan collage for this week's #MixedMedia52 challenge, #plaid. Three photos taken at Culloden Battlefield have been digitally 'woven' to create a yellow (moor), purple (heather), and grey (cairn) tartan.

A blue flannel shirt lays slightly rumpled on the floor. Sitting atop is a fabric sculpted heart, a bunch of subtle marigolds, and a portrait of Mickey’s Father. This was only part of the full installation. Above this hung a fabric tapestry “prayer” with white balloons with led lights inside and more flowers hanging in little bags of moist soil

An art journal page inspired by my Scandinavian roots. I created a stencil of the bunnies facing away from each other and used them back and forth. Lots of doodling for each set across. The page is framed by a leaf pattern and there's a heart at the top center.

We have the sun lighting the trees from behind especially at the tops. At the right a tall tree with orange red yellow foliage at the top. Center bottom is ground level vegetation in greens and golds. The left being more upper level vegetation in color. A.S. Gallery Label This dynamic composition captures the fleeting intensity of autumn through motion and abstraction. Vivid oranges and golds of fall foliage spiral across the canvas, set against a deep, expansive blue sky. The blurred, circular movement evokes both wind and time, transforming a familiar landscape into a visceral experience. Dark, linear forms anchor the composition, while simultaneously slicing through the whirl of color. The artist’s use of layered textures and sweeping gestures blurs the boundary between representation and abstraction, inviting viewers to feel rather than simply observe the scene.
