Used Google Photos to remove people wearing summer clothing. Design in Canva to add lettering. Final edit in Snapseed to add some scratches and wear.

This is a horizontal photograph of a deserted street in the evening. It had rained heavily that evening and the street was wet. This reflected, amongst other things, the (here green) light from traffic lights and street lamps. On the left, the front façades of the houses run directly along the pavement. On that pavement, one can see – faintly – grooved tiles designed for people with visual impairments. On the asphalt of the road surface next to it, road markings have been applied for the cycle path. The photo captures the exterior corner joining two adjacent walls of an old two-story building undergoing restoration in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The left side of the building is in its deteriorated state. The stucco is cracked and peeling, the iron balcony railings are rusty. The wooden doors are broken and splintering. The cornice has fallen apart and is black and dirty. This side of old condition appears to have been a dark cream or yellow color. The lower right side is in the same condition as the adjacent wall, and scaffolding has been erected for work. The second floor on the right side has had most of the restoration completed. It is painted a pale blueish grey with white trim which has been restored to its original design and shape. The cornice is also new-looking. The contrast between old and restored couldn't be greater.

The photo captures the vibrant urban atmosphere of Luisenplatz in Potsdam, dominated by the magnificent Baroque Brandenburg Gate in warm ochre-yellow tones. Its single grand archway is richly adorned with Corinthian columns, Baroque sculptural reliefs, and a gilded royal crown at the apex. The Roman numeral inscription MDCCLXX (1770) is clearly visible on the façade. In the foreground, the central fountain sends a vigorous jet of water high into the grey April sky. Stone planting containers around the circular basin are dotted with early spring flowers in yellow and violet, adding colour to the overcast scene. Pedestrians animate the cobblestone square, small groups of visitors and locals stroll past the gate and through the arch, while traffic lights on both sides mark the transition between the pedestrian zone and the surrounding road network. Parked and passing cars are visible to the right, and café awnings along the gate's flanks hint at the lively commercial activity just beyond. Period buildings in cream and terracotta line the square on both sides, maintaining Potsdam's elegant historic character.

On Armada Way a large mural, now hidden behind builders screen, compellingly details the results of total war on civilians. If it has a title it's "Resurgam" - with underneath the words "For the Plymothians who endured". The image is that of a burning city. While this mural commemorates the people & city of Plymouth - I cannot help but think of the death and destruction that is today wreaked by more modern, & more powerful, psychotic warlords on Ukraine, Lebanon, Gaza & Iran.
