Arcade goes through a pretty much near constant cycle of 'I love him and I hate him' for many years There is going to be a little story behind this scene on PF at some point, but the gist of the one shot is that Cadmus is emotional behind the scenes where no one can see him, and Arcade cleans up the emotional mess, as per usual Also in this moment, and several others like this, he often thinks about how easy it would be to overpower Cadmus or even just snap his neck while he sleeps...but he can never bring himself to do it

One of the themes in #nvau is loneliness, mainly on Cadmus's side,-Arcade can't help but feel pity for him, seeing him as a broken, childlike monster, almost right to the end of the story
