Losing a leg does not slow him down in the slightest, and until he and the others are outcast from the Followers, he continues work as a surgeon and a GP after regaining his ability to walk

when they first met, Cadmus bit Arcade hard enough to draw blood because of his sharp little fangs

to be fair he reacted appropriately to a threat but he's also legit surrounded by idiots during this arc (except Veronica, who is the voice of reason during this one and feels bad for him)

he still doesn't like Cadmus but he definitely understands him a bit better...but it was a hell of a mindfuck for him

not sure I like how the carrot cake came out I made it carrot cake because I figured it was the only kind of cake either of them might eat, as neither Erika nor Ellery are big on sweet things and carrot cake doesn't have to be super sweet this was also the year Francisco finally felt confident in his baking skills, and made the cake for them

As it turns out, breathing in a crap ton of noxious gas is really, really bad for you Ellery actually ended up being worse off not long after this scene, as he also had an infection in his leg-there were antibiotics in the clinic at the Sierra Madre, but they weren't super effective And then the infection was worsened by having to drag Francisco back after he collapsed-the gas hit him even worse because even in this AU, Francisco is a very heavy smoker (and he has even less endurance than in canon) Wyatt was just glad the pair of them came back in one piece, and of course, especially his son-you best believe he watched the pair like a hawk while they recovered at the Old Mormon Fort

He actually bites Courier Six several times-the merfolk are as intelligent as humans, but they have a lot of animalistic tendencies, on top of not trusting humans to begin with...and he was utterly furious, dehydrated and exhausted from trying to escape by this point, and worried about his family, too Hissing is also one of their defence mechanisms, and they can move the sensory organs to look more intimidating, too
