Another #RockWren, but this time it was in the desert with me instead of at the top of a mesa. Interestingly, this one looks more elongated while the mesa one looked more compact to me. I suppose perspective is everything.

Love love love the tiny busy Rock wren (North American version, not the NZ Rock wren pΔ«wauwau). This one posed nicely right at my feet on the Rio Verde north of Phoenix AZ. One of the best binomial names, too: Salpinctes obsoletus!! β€οΈ #birds #rockwren
