The Black Hole Marsh on the Seaton Wetlands was looking great this week, with plenty of birds despite the time of year. Redshank, Common Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plover and Greenshank. #SeatonWetlands
Still very busy at the Seaton Wetlands Sand Martin Colony. I assume they are on their second brood by now? Great to see, that after years of inactivity, the bank has become a thriving success! #SeatonWetlands

Pure joy seeing that sand martins have finally moved in! Now 56 breeding pairs at #SeatonWetlands, Devon. Patience paid off: it took 7 years for the birds to start adopting their new home. Brilliant work by Doug Rudge and colleagues 👏 @eastdevon.bsky.social #birds #nesting
Delighted to have found this Grey long-eared bat (Endangered in UK) at #seatonwetlands #wildeastdevon #devon last night. Its broad wings enable it to fly slowly (and almost hover) as it collect insects off leaves. @naturalengland.bsky.social @batconservation.bsky.social 🦇 #wildlife #nature
No luck in photographing Dartford Warblers at Aylesbeare Common this morning, but there were plenty of other small birds about including Siskin. I came back via Seaton Wetlands, and the female Stilt is still showing well, although the hide was completely empty when I arrived. #SeatonWetlands
We thought we had missed the Black winged Stilts on the Seaton Wetlands, as they were not seen on the 9th. Fortunately the female(?) was showing well again today. #Seatonwetlands #Devonbirds
One more from yesterday of 1 of the 2 #BlackWingedStilts currently gracing E Devon's #BlackHoleMarsh, #SeatonWetlands. Beautiful birds. #DevonBirds #UKBirding #birds
Great views from the pair of Black-winged Stilts displaying at times on #BlackHoleMarsh #SeatonWetlands this evening.
A #BlackWingedStilt, 1 of 2 at Devon's #BlackHoleMarsh, #SeatonWetlands today. Both showed very well this afternoon. #DevonBirds #UKBirding #birds

Wow, pair of black-winged stilts at #SeatonWetlands well out of usual range and first I’ve seen in UK
Visiting #SeatonWetlands this morning, I was surprised by this flock of 14 Cranes that flew over Colyford Common, heading towards Seaton.
I'm pleased to see that the Sand Martins have settled back into the nest boxes near the Discovery hut at the Seaton Wetlands. #Seatonwetlands #devonbirds
Had a trip to Seaton Wetlands this morn. A bit hazy. Mainly Redshanks & Black-Tailed Godwits. The Godwits are starting to colour up well. Very pleased to see that the Sandmartins are already active at the wall!! Saw the Osprey tower. 🤞🤞 #UKBirding #SeatonWetlands

Lovely walk around #SeatonWetlands this morning, with great water rail sighting and 40 other species. Here’s a bold male chaffinch that paused long enough to snap it on my phone #birds
