What fills me up with awe and shere wonder? That would be the scale of the universe. Compared to it, we are specks of stardust, And it is vast beyond comprehension. The Shere Khancept of what else lies out there, Beyond this pale blue dot we inhabit; What other life exists on other worlds? That is a thought that fills me with wonder. I don’t have any ideas of where I’m going with this yet. Sometimes I have an idea of exactly what I want to paint & other days I play around w/ paint.
My essence isn’t always a clear picture at first… sometimes it takes me a bit to figure out / see what I want to create with it.
A self-portrait in a mixed media collage, the centre is dominated by a broken mirror with red gems over which an old pair of my glasses has been glued. The rest of the piece features various broken electronics and cables, broken shards of glass, painted over in red, purple, and black splotches. The shattered visage of the Joker can be seen above the mirror, and the whole piece is covered in plasters/band-aids.
