A Tethisian man, covered in piercings and Tattoos, practicing the traditional Dance of the Sun.
A Tethisian Desert Merchant, a tradition dating back when these nomads were the only way for the Great Cities of Tethis Prime to communicate with one another. They're wearing large, light clothing and a wicker mask to protect themselves from the harsh sun of the homeworld.
A Tethisian Ga'klah warrior. His role as a warrior is denoted by the orange strings in homage to the sun, the piercings and tattoos illustrating the battles of himself and his ancestors. He's preparing to strike with his slingshot, while holding his free hand in front of him to keep the enemy back.
An injured Tethisian Guardian with a damaged skin cowl. When I made the Tethisians, I wanted to make sure they looked like what a makeup and costume team of a Star Trek show would be able to create with practical effects. Therefore, the Tethisians are very similar to humans, something that becomes even more evident if their cowls is damaged, as it is normally attached to their heads.
A few more studies about the Tethisians, my original alien species born for a #StarTrek #RPG campaign, then very much grown into its own thing. Still love these guys very much.

Captain Tebob and Chief Guardian Iiru Y'Zova practice together the opening ceremony of the Heart City Festival. The Flags of the United Federation of Planets, of the Theocracy of Gurzul and of the Guardian Core are visible behind them. Both men are wearing orange stripes, marking them as warriors and dancers according to Tethisian traditions.
Laya Y'Zova, wearing a large amount of orange stripes, practices a traditional Tethisian variant of the Dance of the Sun, while holding two disks representing the sun and moon. The disks are made in imitation of Wahlaan, the legendary weapon of Zurànn the Guardian, the most faithful follower of the Prophet Gurzul who inspired the founding of the Guardian Core.
Captain Tebob struggles to lift an extremely heavy stone in one of the Heart City Festival's games, while Laya and Iiru Y'Zova cheer him on.
At the end of the celebrations, three visibly inebriated Captain Tebob, Chief Guardian Iiru and officer Laya share together a few cups of Tethisian Berry-Wine. Being apparently impossible to cultivate and only growing near the perpetual rivers of the mountains, these berries' wine make for a real delicacy in Thetisian culture, only shared for special occasions. It is often accompanied with a sort of focaccia bread.
Some more months later, Captain Tebob was formally invited to the Tethisian Heart City Festival, a sportive celebration sacred to their people, becoming the first non-Tethisian to take part in its opening ceremony and its games.

The senior officers of the USS Icebreaker complete First Contact protocols with the Tethisian people. In front is Captain Tebob shaking a Tethisian Priest's hand. Behind him are Chief Engineer Ulrik Wakemann, Chief of Security Nublurg Prell, and Chief Doctor Victor Lagrange. Behind the Tethisian Priest are instead two members of the Tethisian Guardian Core.
At last, the deed was done. Kurzov and his honor guard were taken away by Starfleet, and Captain Tebob was able to return to his first contact mission. The Tethisian people had suffered a lot, but now they could rebuild, free from Daemotri's lies. All was now well.

Daemotri's massive fist going straight to crush Akino's head, now that the mind-controlled diplomat is no longer useful. The first panel shows Daemotri commenting "Weak." The second panel is Daemotri's fist mmoving to strike a confused Akino that, having just regained consciousness, is simply asking "What'". The third panel simply shows the onomatopoeia "Crak!"
Emperor Daemotri Kurzov, tyrant of Grand Khazar, augment warlord and master of both physical and psychic might. He's a huge, hypertrophic human man with white skin, short blonse hair, a multitude of tubes and implants all over his body and a crazed look on his face. His look was inspired both by the most negative connotations of Warhammer's Space Marines and toxic views of what a """real man""" looks like, to give the idea of a violent madman barely in control of his own hatred, selfishness and violent tendencies.
Arriving at the "Comet", which was indeed the crashed starship "Bloody Conqueror", the crew found they were too late, as a mind-controlled Akino had just released Emperor Daemotri from its stasis. The Tyrant of Khazar had returned.

A Tethisian Woolly Rhino. While similar to an Earth Rhino, it is covered in blueish-gray fur, it has boney protuberances over its eyebrows and cheekbones, and has two large horns on its face instead of one. The more prominent teeth and aggressive demeanor reveal these animals are actually omnivores, although their clumsiness does not allow them to hunt a lot of animals. Instead, they favor the carcasses left behind by other predators, as their teeth are strong enough to crunch bones and their stomach powerful enough to digest decomposing matter without much trouble.
The Chief Guargian Iiru Y'Zova, a common Guardian and High Priest Tyr Y'Gurzul interveening to aid the crew of the USS Icebreaker. Although the did not dare to interrupt their sleepwalking up the mountain, thinking it was part of the prophecized "Guidance" they were supposed to receive from the Comet, they immediately stepped in to protect their allies once it became clear that something was wrong.
When the party woke up, they found themselves along the mountain path, and that Akino had continued in his sleep up to the peak, where something wicked awaited.
After avoiding a fight with a woolly rhino, they were rescued by the High Priest and his guards.

The Shield of Zurànn, Symbol of the Tethisian Guardian Core, in its Pre-Reform depiction. It appears as a crooked green Parallelogram with an equally crooked yellow "H" shape inside. The symbol was once the family crest of Warlord Zurànn, the lord of Heart City who, upon meeting the Prophet Gurzul, gave up his power to become his most fervent follower and protector, inspiring the modern police force of the Guardian Core.
Chief Guardian Iiru Y'Zova. He appears as an old Tethisian man with dark blue skin, a notable scar cutting into the left side of his lips up to the left nostril, and a blind left eye. His Guardian Uniform is further decorated with orange decorative shoulder pads with steel and golden decorations. His holding a fist to his chest, while the other hand holds his disruptor pistol.
Another, tidier drawing of Chief Guardian Iiru Y'Zova, this time with his arms at his side rather than raised in front of him.
As if that wasn't enough, only Humans were mentioned in the Comet's prophecies causing many, especially among the Guardian Core and its leader in particular, Chief Iiru Y'Zova, to grow suspicious of the crew. Could these humans be impostors in disguise?

He's a half-Human half-Vulcan man, with the characteristic pointy ears and tidy hairstyle of the latter people, with green piercing eyes despite the cold demeanor. He has a small injury on his face with a band-aid over it, as Admiral Thorpe is well known to have a tendency, due to his "lead from the front" attitude, to get easily injured. He's wearing a decorated red Starfleet admiral uniform. As a fun note, Sotek's Human father and Vulcan mother willingly chose the name "Sotek" in reference to the egyptian river god of the same name, since it is a name of Human culture but also respects the norms of Vulcan nomenclature.

He's wearing a grey formal civilian outfit, while also displaying a Starfleet badge to make his affiliation to the organization known. Mr.Akino is an expert diplomat, contacted specifically to assist the new crew of the USS Icebreaker on such a delicate mission.

A large, menacing shadow. Brightened up by red light and a pair of bright green eyes, this large humanoid shape transmits a clear sense of menace. While the USS Icebreaker has no reason to believe anything will go wrong during their mission, the presence of this image in the original trailer for our campaign promised the presence of some unknown enemy, which we'll get to know on a later date.
Long story short: The new crew's first mission will be a delicate First Contact mission. Recommended by the former captain Admiral Thorpe, the party will be assisted by Diplomat Akino to be the first to encounter a new, technologically advanced species.
