California time @ 0800z: entered a #TEF6686 server in San Rafael, where someone was a bit reluctant to give in 98.1 Breeze (KISQ)... until a 3rd user came, slightly PAST TOH, & ran a quick scan, eventually finding a DJ say "2026 yo" & playing David Bowie - Let's Dance on 92.7 KEXC 😅

That on the #TEF6686 server Record plugin. If available at all, recordings do auto-stop, usually after 10 minutes, but some can do longer.
So this Irish server has been recording Today FM for 49 minutes & counting 😜
For the 2300z hour, I selected 3 #TEF6686 servers in Poland, and 2 of them happened to have pirates upon accessing!
91.6 in Poznań is mocking a defunct Planeta FM network, calling themselves Palneta FM, but still displaying PLANETA_ in RDS 😆 They are live, a few folks, some swearing

Such is life on the #TEF6686 webservers... they are not SDRs. Whatever one tunes to, everyone on the server is listening to. You never know what you'll end up with 🤷♂️
Besides #shortwave, I think I'll be incorporating some FM listening through #TEF6686 webservers in my travel across the world as 2026 arrives.
So I'm at a receiver in Auckland, where 4 listeners + me are listening to a nice DJ set on George FM, 96.6 MHz.

Well I just tried a scan on Kumamoto #TEF6686 webserver, and while I didn't hear anything immediately resembling a #tsunami coverage, there is some #sporadicE going on w/ Chinese (or Taiwanese) stations on 88.0, 92.5, 94.3 & 98.0 MHz #fmdx #Japan
XmuX TEF6686 server receiving HRT-HR1, or 1st programme of Croatian radio, on 102.4 MHz from Ivanšcica via air scatter in South Czechia.
Another XmuX TEF6686 server receiving Radio Prvi, or 1st programme of Slovenian radio, on 90.0 MHz from Plešivec.
Probably the craziest thing one can get their hands on at the end of the weekend are the #TEF6686 #FMDX servers by a Czech antenna manufacturer called XmuX.
One has a 24-element Yagi towards Balkans; another - a 20-element to Slovenia and a 16-element to Italy...
... and they do work!

Just FYI: I have a desktop #TEF6686 which doesn't have the BOOT button, but it isn't really needed, at least in this case 😛 all you need to do is plug the radio to a PC, turn it on (ensure its screen is blank), and run a .bat script in the ZIP file you downloaded ✅
