Oak trees grow at this end of Frensham Little Pond. There are also thick reeds where I know that grebes hang out. I have heard them but not seen them! The oak tree frames a long distance view of the pond.

I can see the side of a face above the lower branch and possibly another below the branch. Perhaps this tree guards the grebes that live at this end if the pond.

A very handsome and old and oak (i think - I can't really see)in Pen Mawr ancient woodland in North Wales. It has a very thick trunk with twisted, winding branches spreading out and upwards from it. Its in full fresh green leaf. It has a powerful, mystical quality
