Emerald Damselfly is one of my faves, love that shiny green bizness ! Good numbers at Embleton Quarry NR at the moment alongside Azure, Blue-tailed and Common Blue. I was lucky enough to see 2x Banded Demoiselles there this week too, a new species for the site.🙂

One of the Emperor dragonflies at Embleton Quarry NR today. No sign of the Lesser Emperor in a 30 minute search, but it was cloudy for most of the time I was there with less dragonflies on the wing generally.

The Lesser Emperor dragonfly is still floating around Embleton Quarry NR today. It's getting clobbered by territorial Emperor dragonflies everywhere it goes tho, so it's roaming about and not sticking to any particular area.
