Center frame, perched on a diagonal branch sloping downward, a Philadelphia Vireo perched for a moment, facing left then looked back over their right shoulder when I captured the shot. The leafy color green from surrounding plants, make up the blurred background.
From Allaboutbirds.org., A small songbird; small for a vireo but still chunkier than a warbler. The bill is small compared with other vireos. Olive above and pale below, often with a yellow throat and underparts. Dark grayish crown, with a dark line all the way through the eye and a pale stripe over the eye.
Happy Thursday friends... One of my favorite migrants is the Philadelphia Vireo. A pretty nondescript bird, save for their beautiful, lemon-yellow chest. Subtle beauty at its finest. #birds #birdingOH #naturephotography #wildlife #Vireos #EastCoastKin
