A landscape view of the farm, showing fields of purple lavender in the foreground and middle. Mountains can be seen in the background.
Another view of the lavender on the farm.
Two coal-black alpacas resting in a field, one in the foreground, one in the background. The alpaca in the foreground is looking the camera.
A sign on the alpacas with drawings of four alpacas. Their names are Toi Toi (white), Rowen (brown), Mangu (dark) and Werema (brown). The sign also says, "The alpaca is a species of South American camelid, similar to, and often confused with the llama. However, alpacas are often noticebly smaller than llamas."
We also visited the Lavender Farm in Wānaka, New Zealand on 31 Dec 2025. It has fields of lavender and farm animals, like this rather devilish looking alpacas.
