A patch of two types of flowers on long stems with tiny fluted purple flowers at the tops. The bunch on the left has spade-shaped leaves that cluster in a sort of spiral pattern, and the bunch on the right has ruffly round leaves that surround the stem, like one of Henry VIII's ruffs.
The purple deadnettle isn't far behind!

Since the ground was soft, again, I went out and dug out some more dock from the side yard (a Sisyphean task), and in the process, discovered that the henbit is blooming!

I don't have them at hand but there are simple detergent recipes out there working with chestnuts, english ivy, or birch leaves. They all hold saponines which can be used to wash clothes. Doesn't get more natural.
