The bird has perched on the thin, bare branches of a deciduous shrub or small tree, from which it observes its surroundings. En castellà al trist li diuen buitrón, fent burla de la seua xicoteta mida, en català fent referència al seu característic cant li diguem trist. De segur que l'heu escoltat moltes vegades passant per damunt de vosaltres.
