One of a few stunning male Redstarts seen on Dartmoor yesterday. Always taken aback by their vibrant colours, good to see their return 😀 #devonbirding #ukbirding

A cold biting wind on Dartmoor but the wildlife and scenery certainly didn’t disappoint. A truly magical morning out in the wild! #devonbirding #ukbirding
Both well thanks Rob, hopefully see you out and about at some point 😀x
Brilliant footage Rob, incredible to see one on Dartmoor 😀👍
Out on a woodland walk through Bleadon Woods this morning looking for Orchids, couldn’t believe our luck when we heard and saw 2 Grasshopper Warblers along the way. Love to hear that ‘reeling’ and another reminder to always expect the unexpected! #bristolbirding #ukbirding

A visit to a local Adder site late morning with a mixture of sun and cloud and fortunately we managed to find a few stunning Adders basking on the hillside. Always in awe of these beautiful creatures and always treated with the utmost respect. #ukwildlife #avonwildlifetrust
Brilliant views of the Lesser Scaup at Cheddar Reservoir this beautiful sunny morning. 3 Greater Scaup also present and also a good number of Sand Martins skimming the surface water. #somersetbirding #ukbirding
Our first Wheatear of the year at the Huntspill sea wall this morning in a bracing cold wind 🥶. No sight or sound of the Siberian Chiffy at Apex Park but so uplifting to see and hear a few Willow Warblers 🎶 #somersetbirding #ukbirding

Osprey and a very dapper Mandarin from Herriots, Chew Valley Lake late morning. The earliest we’ve seen a returning Osprey…. #bristolbirding #ukbirding
The highlight of our day, watching a pair of dippers on a Somerset river. Lovely to hear the Dipper sing as well. #somersetbirding #ukbirding
Great image James, and a brilliant bird to watch this morning.
A return visit to Cheddar Reservoir this morning for better views of the Bonaparte’s Gull and Little Gull, at least three Little Gulls present. Lovely watching them all hawking insects over the water. #Somersetbirding #ukbirding
A lovely early morning visit to Cheddar Reservoir, the sun was just rising! Bonaparte’s Gull, Scaup, at least 2 Little Gulls, Green Woodpeckers the highlights. Alas no photos of ‘Boney’ but good scope views. #somersetbirding #ukbirding

Great to catch up with the female Hooded Merganser at Pilning Wetlands this afternoon along with a good assortment of fellow birding friends #bristolbirding #ukbirding
A beautiful Spoonbill at Slimbridge today. As typical of Spoonbills it would wake for 5 seconds, look around then fall back asleep. Love that crest!
A few more of the Black Redstarts in Seaton a few days ago. Must have been at least 3 around the gardens and always great to see and watch. #ukbirding
Also in the same gardens as the Whitethroats in Seaton were a few Black Redstarts. Nice to see them in trees for a change with this one I think either feeding on the Cordyline seeds or the insects between…. #ukbirding #devonbirding
A trip to Seaton, Devon this morning to catch up with the ‘Siberian’ Lesser Whitethroats. Glad to say they both showed very well at times, thoroughly enjoyed watching them in the gardens. #ukbirding #devonbirding
Cheers Ian, we didn’t think anyone would notice 😂
Can’t beat Norfolk for seeing running, skipping, chasing Hares. Such beautiful, magical animals and an absolute joy to watch.
Watching Barn Owls in Norfolk … so uplifting to simply observe a pair hunt over a weedy field, swoop and dive and fly past like little ghosts. ☺️ #ukbirding
