The eagles nesting on the cell tower near my office appear very focused on the nest lately. I'm guessing they've got eggs or smol eagles up there. Apologies for the low resolution, it's very distant and my camera is also my phone.

A tiny little chonk of a brown mushroom pops up out of the undergrowth. A pair of tiny insects (less than a millimeter long) can be seen crawling on it.

Birds nest fungi cluster on a mossy log, just being their best fuzzy little selves.

A tiny mushroom pops out of the mossy side of a log on a narrow stem, spreading a tiny umbrella of a cap. It has a companion visible farther away, slightly out of focus.

Just a feather on some leaves. There were more nearby, evidence of a bird's passing.

A brown puffball fungi sits under a tree, looking like a pale poo emoji. ...which I guess isn't a terribly helpful comparison to the blind, sorry. It's charming and kind of round though!

This big white mushroom stands about 8 inches tall, with a contorted cap larger than my hand.

A handful of brown striated shelf fungi grow on the side of a deep cut in a fallen log.

A collection of seeds hangs from a deciduous tree; the light of the sky behind them carefully highlights the veins in the tree's narrow leaves.

Spotted several new (to me) #fungi on today's walk. Haven't seen a puffball like this in years, and the standing pale #shroom is enormous! Trails were soggy, but the surprises are worth the squelch.

I cross this small creek on my lunch walks, but I don't think I've ever seen it quite this active. About a foot higher than normal (usually it's a slow 6-inch brook) and looking VERY lively.
