I like seeing behind the curtain more and really seeing her kind heart, smarts, and how she handles Declan. He makes sure that last one isn't always an easy task. -- Book quote “If I were to slip a finger up the bottom of your skirt and touch you, would your pussy be wet?” -- Declan Shaw They each make some assumptions and mistakes. I do love how everything surfaces and what comes next. I absolutely love all their adventures. And that ending... 🔥 I borrowed the audio book. These narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels, have been in my earbuds so many times. Hell, this is the second book with each of them this week. The series was good. The stories were related but varied enough that I wasn't bored, and I may have added a new book boyfriend or two to my collection. 😘❤️🔥 It was great seeing bits and pieces of the Kingston / Dare families along the way. No prior reading was required, but there were a few minor spoilers. The cast of narrators are, in no particular order, Alex Knox, Isabelle Turner, Lee Samuels, Connor Crais, Angelina Rocca, John Lane, and Samantha Cook. I've enjoyed most of these narrators before but liked getting to listen to some new ones, too. One thing I really loved was that each book had a different set of voices, which made it easy to binge the entire series. Angelina was in two of the books but with different male counterparts, so it still felt different. Story: 4-4.5 stars Narration: 4-4.5 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x

They were a couple worthy of my time. I'm going through this series out of order. It's honestly been good. There are some scenes in the next book that overlap, but the POV and impact shifts. I look forward to getting to the rest of the Davenport books. I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Shane East and Stella Hunter, both of whom I've listened to numerous times over the years.
