We’ve been monitoring nest boxes in the Box Ironbark forests in Central Victoria. A very good occupancy rate with many Kreft (sugar) gliders. So very cute. The nest boxes are clearly filling a need.

Koala scats (pooh) in our garden
Every time the weather turns bad these scats turn up under a big old pine tree. My theory is a Koala is using the pine as a shelter tree. We have seen her here a couple of times but she is very hard to find.

Possums
We have three short-eared brushtail possums staying in the Tool Shed Motel. Young female, older female with her joey. I don’t feed them anymore (😟) as it causes overpopulation and contagious dermatitis. Such beautiful creatures, I will have a new possum painting coming out soon.
