SLDC did not process an application for incentives for AB.
SLDC performed a financial analysis based on data that was provided by an as yet unidentified party.
I've yet to learn whether an application was submitted by or on behalf of AB, and to whom it was submitted.

In the sausage making process of St. Louis government, the Board of #EandA approved #BOAbb161 at a special meeting on 1/29.
The A-B tax break was approved unanimously on a consent vote, along with other agenda items. My case against the A-B incentive (1/29 email; see image) still stands. #VetoBB161
Reminder for St. Louisans: On February 7th, your Board of Aldermen approved a $1,190,000 tax break for Anheuser-Busch.
Ask @mayor.stlouis-mo.gov to veto #BOAbb161

VOTE NO on #BOAbb161
Does Anheuser-Busch need a personal property tax abatement with a "net present value" of $1.19 Million?
Nope!
A-B's gross profit for the 12 months ending 9.30.24 was $32.6 Billion. The tax break equates to the cost of 5 seconds of a Super Bowl commercial.

Clarification: as tomorrow's BOA meeting is a continuation of the 1/31 meeting, there may not be a final vote (3rd reading) of #BOAbb161
The recess was called by PBOA Green during item 16B; page 14 of agenda: www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/c...
I do expect a final vote on #BOAbb166 Agenda item 18A
The Board of Aldermen has the chance to redeem itself on the $1.19 Million personal property tax abatement for Anheuser-Busch.
I expect the final vote on #BOAbb161 to be taken Tuesday.
Alders should also vote against the earnings & payroll tax rebates for Adlers CPA. Value: $2.2 Million #BOAbb166
Just posted! (1:37 p.m)

What the heck Batman?!
SLDC didn’t process the application for the #BOAbb161 incentives. See photo for today’s reply.
Why couldn’t SLDC staff respond with this info a week ago?
Who processed the application?
Greater St. Louis? Comptroller? Mayor?
Transparency is a colossal failure in STL.
Back to the brewery entitlement heist in #BOAbb161
SLDC/ @developstlouis.bsky.social responded yesterday to my 2nd follow up message seeking A-B’s application.
Feb. 14 is the earliest date that records, if any (lol) will be available. Original request R000132-012025 submitted on 1/20.

Welcome to #BOAfriday!
Unnecessary tax breaks to oppose:
#BOAbb161 $1.19M tax abatement gift to A-B; equal in value to five seconds of a Superbowl ad.
#BOAbb166 Adlers CPA. Up to $2.2M in earnings & payroll tax rebated by the City.
Adlers does work for GSL, which GSL didn’t disclose at #HUDZ
Absolutely. I left out this line, which was included in my plea to E & A:
“A study cited by the Post-Dispatch estimated that a 30 second ad in the Superbowl costs $7M. The value of the tax break in #BOABB161 equates to 5 seconds of advertising time at the Superbowl.”

I haven't received a response from SLDC to my Public Records Request no. R000132-012025, seeking the application for A-B's tax abatement in #BOAbb161.
The automated email response from SLDC does not meet the requirements of #MOsunshine Rev. Statutes 610.
