A white caterpillar with bright yellow and black markings with black spiky hairs is resting on a light green "furry" leaf. In front of it is the remains of the skin it has just shed. The black markings and hairs are clearly visible.

Waste not, want not!
Something I've never seen before, a Mullein moth (Cucullia verbasci) larva eating its own shed skin!

Finally, from the spiky hairs I'm assuming this is some kind of Tachinid fly. Is an ID possible?

Really fresh Brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni) butterfly in the garden late morning.
Typically, couldn't get anywhere near it, and had a macro lens on the camera at the time. ๐Ÿ™„
Seems to like our everlasting sweet peas though.

Scarlet Tiger moth (Callimorpha dominula) from the back garden yesterday. I'm definitely seeing more of these than last year. Anyone else noticing more?

Speckled Bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) in the garden this afternoon. I waited ages hoping for a clear shot. It posed here for about ten seconds before it jumped off. Great I thought! Result!๐Ÿ˜ƒ
But look! It's having a poo! ๐Ÿ™„

This little one really did not want its photo taken. After watching it hiding behind leaves for about five minutes, I finally got this single shot. Speckled Bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) nymph I presume.

At last! A photo of a Mint moth that I'm happy with!
The overcast and cool conditions yesterday slowed this Pyrausta aurata down just long enough for me to take a couple of decent photos. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Perhaps realising her mistake, she had a go underneath the leaf. Still a little obvious maybe.
