A slender, medium-sized little blue heron (Egretta caerulea) with blue-gray plumage stands on a fallen log near a body of water. The heron has a long, pointed blue beak and long, dark legs. Its neck is long and slightly curved, and it has a few wispy feathers extending from the back of its head. The background shows green vegetation and the dark, reflective surface of the Bayou La Rose.
