This bird-like pattern in the Sun's corona inspired a whole flock of mythicalBirds & bird gods, including the ancient Egypt version of the "Phoenix" known as the Bennu bird which was a heron.

When I researched my intuitive flash in the early 1990s, I found a whole flock of #MythicalBirds & #BirdGods that were in all probability inspired by this bird-like pattern that's displayed in the Sun's corona during some #TotalSolarEclipses. The Egyptian "solar falcon god" #Horus being one of them.

During some #TotalSolarEclipses a bird-like pattern is perceivable in the Sun's corona. When I first noticed this "Sun Bird" I immediately intuited that it was the original source of inspiration for the #Phoenix myth. Subsequent research found a whole flock of other solar #BirdGods & #MythicalBirds.
