Birds mostly seagulls gather and fly about this little island of tall grasses in the Saint Lawrence River in LaSalle, Montreal. It's a strip no more than 50 yards long. The water is rushing and flowing and the Sunlight is glistening off of the waves.

Last summer in #CapeBretton I went on a boat ride to #BirdIsland. The whole purpose of the trip was to see #Puffins. I only got one good puffin shot.
The other two are from the operator (Bird Island Tours).
They were cuter than I imagined.

This is a landscape photograph of four pelicans descending on an island. The majority of the frame is white puffy clouds with the island below peeking up from the bottom of the frame, but only the greenery in the way of mangroves is visible. Above the island is white clouds up to about two thirds of the frame and then there is a stripe of blue, narrow on the left and widening towards the right. The background finishes with more white clouds about the line of blue. In the middle of the lower clouds a squadron of nearly four equidistance pelicans, wings in full spread and oriented nearly identically coming in for a landing. The picture leaves me with a feeling of profound respect for their precision and coordination, like a squadron of Blue Angels of the bird world amidst mostly Cessna pilots.
Now for something different. This capture comes from #Dunedin #Florida in Dec while I was crabbing with my brother. This squadron of pelicans landed at #BirdIsland and I captured their descent.
