I'm Friday I went to Essex's Abberton Nature reserve. It was amazing to see this Barn Owl hunting in the middle of the day. I guess with so much rain about, it must be desperate for dry times to hunt.

A photo of an adult non-breeding plumaged Black-necked Grebe. I was lucky enough to see it on the local Causeway. I was delighted to see it eventually swim in close.
