A flicker, melts the gloom of the night, A speck of shimmering light Trying hard to fight through the darkness Its only desire to part this Desolate blackness, standing alone This solo defiance is all that it's known 'Till a clone ignights in the distance A sudden, and stubborn insistence Upon resistance, so numbers grow Joining the shine, a communal glow And all of them know, they can win this As long as they're; all of them, in this Together, as one big fish in the pond And the darkness can try to respond But it's gone, drowned by the fires of Thousands of insects that fly above, Doesn't have enough strength to hold back Swarms of Adze that dare to attack And the black tyrant's defeated Every night, it's the same thing repeated Abdomens heated, bodies that burn By igniting the gasses that churn Out of them, starting to turn up the heat Its such an incredible feat For one so petite, for something so small, On its own can do nothing at all When a ball of Adze becomes Big enough it's as hot as the sun And there's nothing they can't overcome They're useless as one, but together, Together these Adze are strong!

Held Pens There are pens I've loved, And some pens I've never noticed, Rolling aimlessly around in a drawer, That opens once a year, And never shuts correctly. Pens I've filled with ink, And some pens I've filled with Spirit, Rage written words, Love filled lines, And doodles, squiggles, and a random Mark or two.
