#CampRevPit #CRPLunaMoths I decided on "Skylar" mostly because I liked the name and the play on words I could do with "sky" and dreaming. Same reasoning for Skylar's love interest "Damien," though now I'm realizing the name's meaning is perfect for the character.

My MC's name changed several times, mainly as I was convinced I'd just read a novel where the MC had the same name. After writing a few chapters with 'Dove' I checked the book in question and realised I was wrong. Sorrow suits her so much better!

I've worked SO HARD to limit dialouge tags. I've studied how the pros do it, making it clear when I'm curled up reading instead of doing chores I'm actually researching.

Short stories are basically impossible. I’m learning how to write tighter the more I revise, but it’s slow going.

Well… I am incredibly and hopeless when it comes to romance. In my previous projects I have simply avoided it all together, but in most recents works I’ve pushed through the cringe. Only takes me 3 weeks to write a sex scene now…

I thought my first book was amazing. I’m embarrassed even thinking about it now. Having a more realistic view of how good my writing is has definitely helped me improve, though I still wonder sometimes if it’s actually terrible but I just don’t see it.
