Tower block, looks 1950s, 19 storeys, with brick skin (both red and yellow) and balconies that protrude at an angle on the narrower sides of the rectangular plan. Different treatment of windows at floor 1 -- nearly all glazed -- indicating a different function at this level, likely a communal purpose. Not on pilotis, exactly, but suggesting openness at ground floor level.
I am coming to the small conclusion the Clifton Court, Finsbury Park, by ECP Monson for Islington, is of interest. Don't know the date, looks 1950s. The other good works by the firm in this period are Sussex Close, Aubert Court, Cluse Court & the block at Highbury Corner. #islington #CouncilHousing
