Wrongly fired civil servants have been reinstated, funding has been restored to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, deportation flights have been grounded, Trump's tariffs have been struck down. “Ultimately, though,” Schiff said, “the most powerful check on Trump's authoritarianism is not Congress. It is not the courts. It is the American people.”
